Jaroslav Hanák has been the President of Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic since 2011. In 2001 he became a member of the Board of Directors of the Confederation, since 2008 he served as its first Vice-President. In 2011 he became Vice-President of the Tripartite Coucil of the Economic and Social Agreement of the Czech Republic. Mr. Hanák has been the majority owner, Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of the company First Transport Lines (FTL, a.s.) since 1991. From 1991 until 2002 he was the 1st Vice-President of the Transport Union of the Czech Republic, in 2002 he became its President. He is also the President of the Association of Transport, Forwarding and Servicing Firms. At international level Jaroslav Hanák is a Member of the Council of Presidents of BUSINESSEUROPE based in Brussels.

Born in 1940 in Prague, Mr. Kalas graduated with honors at the Czech Technical University in Prague (1963). Living since 1968 in Switzerland, he worked 16 years as an international consultant managing several dozens programs and projects in the area of power, energy and industrial planning in 55 countries. In 1986 as the Swiss citizen, he joined the Swiss administration in charge of the developing assistance in Asia and Latin America.

With the World Bank since 1994, Mr. Kalas initially coordinated the donor supported program “Environment for Europe”. Subsequently as the director of the World Bank/Swiss “National JI/CDM Strategy Study program (NSS), Mr. Kalas managed between 1997-2004 the capacity building program in the climate change area in more than 25 countries in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Central and Eastern Europe, including among others China, India and Russia.

Retired from the World Bank in 2004 and based since in Prague, Mr. Kalas became the senior fellow of the UNITAR in Geneva, involved in the international climate change capacity building programs. In September 2006, Mr. Kalas was appointed as the minister of the environment in the Czech Government. In 2007, he has been acting as the advisor to three prime ministers and to minister of agriculture and deputy minister of finance in the areas of energy and climate linked policies and programs..

In 2017, he was awarded the French President’s Order of Merits for activities in the climate change area. Currently he acts as the senior advisor to the minister of director of the State Environmental Fund and represents the Czech Republic in the Green Climate Fund.

Ing. arch. Jan Kasl, born in Prague 1951, registered architect 1992 and since 2019 President of the Czech Chamber of Architects. Graduated at Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Architecture in 1976. Practising spatial planning and architecture since 1977. From 1992 to 1999 founder and principle of designing studio A project; suspended designing for public service between 1998 and 2007; since 2008 back in professional career as a founder and leader of JK ARCHITEKTI studio.

After the Velvet Revolution engaged in politics – elected Prague 1 Deputy Mayor 1990, Councilor for planning and strategy in 1993-1994; elected Mayor of the City of Prague in 1998 to 2002.

Member of several boards and committees in academic world (Czech Technical University, Academy of Performing Arts) and professional bodies (former President of EUROPAN CZ, member of Czech Architecture Foundation, Open House Prague etc.). Recently engaged in major transport projects of City of Prague, involved in landscape and spatial design as well as architectural design of mainly residential development.

Prof. Pavel Matějka is the rector of the University of Chemistry and Technology (UCT) Prague. He graduated in physical chemistry from the Faculty of Science of Charles University in Prague. He is a professor of chemistry focused on molecular spectroscopy, plasmonics, and optical nanoscopic techniques. He is the guarantor of the doctoral programme in Molecular chemical physics and sensorics. He co-authorized more than 160 publications (WoS/Scopus). He was the principal coordinator of the UCT Prague chemistry Eurolabels awarded by the European Chemistry Thematic Network (ECTN) in 2006. He is the scientific secretary of Ioannes Marcus Marci Spectroscopic Society. Moreover, he was a coordinator of ca. 15 research and educational projects. From 2016 to 2020, he was responsible at UCT for the project “Study in Prague” (a joint project of Prague’s public universities to coordinate their international study programs on one common platform). From 2017 to 2021, he coordinated the project “The creation of international doctoral study programmes at UCT Prague” aimed at forming and implementing double degree doctoral programmes with 10 European partners. From 2020, he is responsible at UCT for the Horizon 2020 project “Enhancing skills intelligence and integration into existing Ph.D. programmes by providing transferable skills training through an open online platform”.

Jiří Nouza is the president of the Association of Entrepreneurs in the Construction Industry, which represents one of the most important economic sectors. Its members are not only construction companies, but also, for example, manufacturers and sellers of building materials, associations, guilds or developers. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague. He has extensive experience both in the private sector and in the state and public administration, where he focused mainly on transport, infrastructure and the environment. Among other things, he worked at the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Finance and was a member of the Representative Council. city of Prague.

Prof. Ing. Růžena Petříková, CSc., professor at the Technical University Ostrava (Quality Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and Knowledge Management), Vice-chair of the Quality Council of the Czech Republic, Vice-chair of the Professional Section "Quality and Sustainable Development", Member of CSVTS.

Born on December 16, 1962 in Pilsen, where he attended the mathematics and physics branch of the grammar school after primary school. He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, majoring in construction and transport. During his studies, he successfully presented himself in student scientific professional activity competitions under the guidance of Prof. Šejnoha, in 1985 he won 1st place in the national round in the section mechanics - dynamics.

In 1986, he started working at comp. STAVOPROJEKT in Pilsen as a structural engineer. In 1989, he completed his state final examination in German and then worked for foreign companies in Switzerland and Germany. In 1993, together with other partners, he founded the TORION design office in Pilsen, in which he is a continuous executive and partner. In the office, he participates in the preparation of orders, especially for ground and engineering staffs. Significant projects include logisticscenter in Buštěhrad, which won the Construction of the Year 2021 Award and the SpecialMinistry of Industry and Trade Award in the competition Construction of the Year of the Central Bohemian Region 2021 or the project of the District Police of the Czech Republic in Karlovy Vary awarded the Mayor's Award under XII. year of the competition Construction of the Karlovy Vary Region.

He has been a member of ČKAIT since 1995, and has been appointed an authorized engineer in the field of structural engineering and building dynamics. He works in the Pilsen Regional Committee and in 2003 he became a member of the ČKAIT Board of Directors. In 2008, he was elected Vice-Chairman of ČKAIT and in the same year he was appointed Vice-Chairman of the ČKAIT Legislative Commission. In addition to the above activities, he worked in the Expert Group of the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic on the Public Procurement Act and also on the new Building Act, in the ČKAIT Insurance Commission and headed the ČKAIT Public Procurement Act Commission. His activities include coordinating cooperation with German, partner and professional chambers.

In September 2020, he was elected the third Chairman of the Board of ČKAIT.

Nicolaos Theodossiou was born in Famagusta Cyprus. He studied Civil Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Greece, where he acquired his PhD.

He is currently a professor at the Division of Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering and director of the Water Resources Engineering and Management Laboratory, of the Department of Civil Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

He is working on water resources management and on the protection and restoration of the environment, while participating in a number of national or international scientific committees. He has participated in more than 35 funded research projects and published more than 150 papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings.

He is, amongst others, Coordinator of the Environmental Council of AUTh, Director of the Postgraduate Program “Protection of the Environment and Sustainable Development”, President of the Association of European Civil Engineering Faculties - AECEF, former president of the board of the Hellenic Hydrotechnical Association.

He chairs the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the wider area of the Black Sea, operating under the auspices of the Secretary General of the United Nations.

Prof. Ing. Jiří Witzany, DrSc., dr.h.c. mult., ranks among prominent experts in the field of Theory and Design of Building Structures, both at home and abroad. He is a reputable personality in research and tertiary education. He is a founding and honorary member of the Czech Chamber of Chartered Engineers and Technicians Active in Construction, and has served on its Board of Directors for many years. He is a member of the Academy of Engineering of the Czech Republic and a member of the Czech Head Club, the most prestigious Czech award for science and research.

In 1991, following a successful defence of his doctoral dissertation, submitted as early as 1977, he was awarded the degree of DrSc., and, in 1993, he was appointed Professor in the field of Theory and Design of Building Structures. In 2006 and 2007, he was awarded the Honorary Doctorate at two foreign universities.

In 2014, he received the highest award of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic - the Silver Medal - for his outstanding research achievements. In 2007, the Vienna University of Technology granted him the Johann Joseph Ritter von Prechtel Medal.

Bohdan Zronek has been Chief Nuclear Officer and Member of the Board of Directors CEZ, Czech Republic since 2017. He has broad experience in nuclear energy in operation of CEZ fleet and in regulatory and international relations.

He is Chairman of the WNA Board of Management and President of Nuclear advisory safety committee of MVM, Hungary.

He entered nuclear energetics in Temelin NPP as a licensed operator in 1994. During plant commissioning he had been gradually licensed to the Reactor and Turbine operator, Unit Supervisor and Plant Shift Supervisor.

He espoused several management positions as Temelin NPP Operations Manager, CEZ Division Generation Corporate Safety Director and Temelin NPP Plant Manager in the period of 2008 to 2017.

He took part at many international activities and missions under umbrella of the IAEA, WANO or WNA and represents CEZ at international nuclear related activities (e.g. WANO, FORATOM, WNA).

Nikolay Kiryukhin received an engineering diploma in the field of nuclear physics in 1978 in Kharkov National University. In 1987 he defended his PhD thesis (New materials design for application in irradiation environment) in Kharkov National Polytechnic University. From 1978 till 1993 he worked in National Scientific Center “Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology” consistently occupying positions from junior researcher to the head of the department. He obtained scientific title “Senior Researcher” in 1989. From 1993 till 2006 he was deputy director and director of Research and Production Company “Plasmed”. In 2006 he got position of deputy executive director of Union of scientific and engineering associations of Ukraine (USEAU). He was elected as president of this organization in December 2012.

Nikolay Kiryukhin research interests cover the area of new materials design for nuclear and airspace applications. He is the author of publications, academic scripts and patent applications. In 2007-10 he was co-author of chain of manuals for physics for schools (7-11 grades). He was project manager and leading expert in a number of research projects funded by US DOE; European Commission; Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine; State Space Agency of Ukraine; Ministry of Health Care of Ukraine. His main area of activity since 2009 is the implementation of European procedures of certification of engineers in Ukraine.

Nikolay Kiryukhin was the main organizer of a number of national and international conferences since 2000. He is full member of Academy of technological sciences of Ukraine (1996 - present) and its Board member (2001 – present); vice-president of Ukrainian council of civil engineers (2018 – present).

Mr. Pavol Radic is appointed as an employee of the Welding Research Institute, where he started as an independent research and development worker. He oriented the profiling of his professional career (in the form of qualification of technological procedures) to new materials and technologies, additionally to production technologies, industrial engineering, engineering, and engineering technology as such. In connection with this focus, he is dedicated to the certification of companies in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 3834 standards. Moreover, he provides education for adults in the subject area. He has experience not only in the field of research and development but also in the application of knowledge from these areas in practice.

Professor CHEN Xuedong is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). Now he is vice president of China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), vice president of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES), deputy general manager and chief engineer of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH), director of National Engineering Technology Research Center on Pressure Vessel and Piping Safety.

He has been engaged in the research and application of safety science and engineering technology for pressure-bearing special equipment for a long time. Facing the needs of major engineering constructions such as the Megaton Ethylene project and the Ten Million Ton Oil Refinery project, and the long-term safety assurance of equipment, he has completed a number of research projects over the past three decades, and has solved many engineering and technical problems, involving design, manufacture and maintenance of extreme pressure vessels, risk assessment and control of long-term operation for pressure equipment and system in large-scale petrochemical plants, safety assessment and diagnosis of pressure vessels under harsh environments, development and performance evaluation of hydrogen storage and transportation equipment. He has made contributions to the design and manufacture of major pressure equipment and to the annual decline in the accident rate per 10,000 equipment in China.

Eng. Faisal Al Ajmi graduated from California State University – Fresno – USA majoring in Electrical Engineering and further pursed his masters of science in Engineering Management from Sunderland University - UK. He is currently the Faculty member with the Public Authority of Applied Education. Along with his job at the government sector, he has been the most active member of Kuwait Society of Engineers, which is first nonprofit organization in Kuwait with more than 42000 members and over 400 professional volunteers for many years with past position as General Manager followed General Secretary and then from 2017 till date President of KSE.

In addition, he has many achievements in the voluntary work field both locally and internationally by which he had the opportunity to lead the Federation of Arab Engineers and held the position of Presidency in 2020. Also an active National member in the World Federation of Engineering Organization.

On the local grounds, Eng. Faisal has a long standing experience of about 12 years on teaching and motivating the enthusiasm of team work environment and leadership by executing several initiatives in the renewable energy technology to support the community in achieving the common goals of the country. He is also dedicated towards serving the committee in different areas of engineering which helps the community in better living with source of engineering aspect.

Professor Teofil Jesionowski Rector of Poznan University of Technology (PUT), the Chair of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Technical Universities, member of the Board of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland. Since 2020 member of Polish Academy of Science. He also serves as the head of the Chemical Technology Department. In period of 2016-2020 vice-rector for LLL & International Education, and from 2008-2016, he was deputy-dean of the Faculty of Chemical Technology at PUT.

Prof. Teofil Jesionowski received the title of professor of chemical sciences in 2013. His research interests include the synthesis, characterisation and applications of advanced functional materials, functional fillers and polymer composites; activators of rubber compounds, (bio)additives and eco-friendly fillers; biomineralisation – inspired syntheses and Extreme Biomimetics; biocomposites and biomaterials; removal of wastewater pollutants via adsorption, photocatalysis or precipitation methods; pigment composites; enzyme immobilisation; colloid chemistry and surface modification; hybrid systems, biopolymers and biosensors.

He has published over 490 publications indexed by Thomson Reuters JCR. He is also a co-creator of over 45 patents and patent applications. His publications received over 12,000 citations (h index = 53 based on SCOPUS database). He is the co-author of chapters in numerous monographs, published in renowned publishing houses (Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, InTech, etc.); and a scholarship holder of the Foundation for Polish Science. He is also a member of editorial boards of scientific journals: Dyes and Pigments – Elsevier, Physicochemical Problems of Mineral Processing. Nowadays serves as Section Editor in Chief Molecules journal (MDPI) as well as Materials (MDPI) and member of editorial board/associate editor of Scientific Reports (Nature Publishing Group).
